  Cycling the Via de la Plata, Spain, hot, hot, hot – I needed loads of water:
  I fitted the monkii clip onto handlebar stem of my Tern foldy and the cage onto that. I bought a 1.5 litre of water and carried and constantly refilled it for the trip. Despite my ridiculous overloading and the difficult trail the clip and cage never let me down, and in fact were perfect.

  Was brilliant. Fits v well I’m the Brompton stem to mount a bottle. Or on the top tube. Or seat tube (you get the picture). But the plastic cam bolt (the half cylinder not the full cyclinder) just failed on me a week before I take my overloaded cotic soul bikepacking on the 2015 WRT… Grr.
  
  To be fair it’s almost certainly the result of my over tightening it, but it did shred pretty easily.
  
  And to give an idea of my view of Monkii products I’m just about to order a replacement. But still… Grr!
